If you have the guild and the time, you should pursue the Tier 3 set Frostfire Regalia and build up your Argent Dawn reputation. Which armor set you choose to pursue depends on your time commitment to the game and whether or not you are a member of a strong guild. The Enigma Vestments are similar to the Illusionist’s Attire except obtained from the Brood of Nozdormu. Trappings of Vaulted Secrets is a 3-piece armor set obtained by running quests in Ahn’Qiraj and reaching very high reputation with the Cenarion Circle faction. The Illusionist’s Attire is a 5-piece set obtainable in Zul’Gurub. This armor set is obtained through Argent Dawn quests in Naxxaramas, the 40-man undead instance introduced in Path 1.11. Blackwing Lair is another 40-man instance and should only be attempted by guilds who have mastered Molten Core and whose members already have the epic gear drops from that instance.įrostfire Regalia is a new armor set – Tier 3 – and has 8 pieces of armor plus a ring. Netherwind Regalia pieces drop mostly from Blackwing Lair bosses but also requires drops from the end bosses in both Onyxia’s Lair AND Molten Core. It is not reasonable to expect to obtain this armor set unless you are willing to commit to a mature guild (and they commit to you) and run Molten Core 40+ times. All of the Arcanist’s Regalia pieces drop in Molten Core, which is a very difficult 40-man instance. Sorcerer’s Regalia is obtained by upgrading the Magister’s Regalia armor set through quests, some of which revisit 5-man instances. Most level 60 mages start out with the Magister’s Regalia which drops from mainly 5-man instances.
